What are cookies?
Cookies are small encrypted text documents downloaded to your browser when you visit websites. They act as "memory" for the application, allowing SkillLink to remember that you safely logged in 10 minutes ago, so you don't have to authenticate on every single page click.
How SkillLink uses them
We deploy cookies fundamentally grouped into exactly three categories. We do absolutely no cross-site advertising tracking.
1. Strictly Necessary (Essential)
Required for the website to function securely. You cannot opt out of these.
- session_token: authenticates your active login state.
- csrf_bypass: protects forms against cross-site forgery attacks.
- cookie_consent: remembers if you dismissed the cookie banner.
2. Functional & Preference
Enhances user experience by remembering your personal dashboard interface settings.
- theme_mode: remembers dark vs light mode.
- search_radius: remembers your default mapping distance.
3. Analytics & Performance
Helps us measure site traffic mathematically to scale servers and redesign bad UIs.
- _ga & _gid: Google Analytics anonymous session tracking.
How to manage your cookies
When you first visit SkillLink, you are prompted to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can revoke this choice at any time directly through your browser settings.
Please note that forcefully deleting Strictly Necessary cookies via browser tools will violently log you out of your current session and may cause active Escrow transaction flows to error.
